The 6th and final article in this series, entitled The Last Word, celebrates the unique achievements of the world’s first supersonic passenger jetliner. Those who flew Concorde still rhapsodize about the amazing experience: 10 miles up, moving faster than a rifle bullet, exquisite wining ‘n’ dining alongside A-List Names, accelerating to Mach 2 at the edge of space — with passing views of planet Earth! Even in this era of palatial, subsonic first-class cabins, who would not wish to re-live the glory days of Concorde? This article first appeared in Inflight magazine in March/April 2016.

Christopher Buck (United States, October 13, 2020) Jetliner Cabin: An Evolution of the Passenger's Experience. Since my first flight when I was five years old, airplanes have fascinated me. It is always so intriguing to contemplate the evolution of the designs and the efficiency elements throughout these five decades. Civil aviation has become more democratic over the years. More people have access to this means of transport every day, previously reserved only for the elites.
Nowadays, walking inside an airplane, we can almost feel we are entering a 'flying house' the innovations in engineering and aviation do not limit themselves to new designs, performance, or efficiency but primed by esthetic element. this app-ebook shows an incredible volume of useful information about efficiency, luxury (comfort), privacy, flexibility.
The quality of the imagery, and the information contained here are excellent. I truly recommend it.
Amazon Customer (United States, October 8, 2020) Who knew? There is so much in this app for anyone who likes to fly. Great history about jetliner cabins and how they have evolved. Tons of information about design tricks. I highly recommend this app.
George Darrow (United States, October 7, 2020) Cabin Fever! This is a great history of plane cabins over the years ! fascinating, and fun.
Alison (United States, September 25, 2020) Clear blue skies! As a frequent flier, I spend a lot of time in airplanes for work. This ebook definitely goes into detail about all the various types of cabins there are and offers insight on what makes an enjoyable flying experience.
Paula Butterfly (United States, September 25, 2020) Interesting! I never put thought into airline cabins and how they were actually built, so this was really cool. The photographs were my favorite part about this ebook.

At the upcoming Aircraft Interiors Expo in Los Angeles, co-located with the APEX EXPO,
Jetliner Cabins author and former airline industry executive, Jennifer
Coutts Clay, will make a keynote presentation on accessibility, and lead
a panel discussion about the challenges faced by disabled passengers
and passengers with restricted mobility (PRMs).
The panelists slated to participate in this “Flying for All”
discussion include PriestmanGoode head of project management Tom
Lipscomb; American Airlines senior manager, customer experience,
accessibility Gina Emrich; Molon Labe CEO Hank Scott; and Michele Erwin,
who serves as president of nonprofit organization All Wheels Up.
In an interview with Runway Girl Network, Coutts Clay points out that
there are an estimated one billion people living with disabilities,
according to the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO).
A growing aging population will also require help when traveling.
Persons over the age of 60 reached 962 million in 2017, and that number
is expected to double by 2050 to 2.1 billion.

As Jennifer explains: 'The TravelPlus Awards show-case the dazzling range of Amenity Kits now available to airline passengers worldwide. For decades, first- and business-class Amenity Kits have been cherished as special souvenirs of memorable long-haul flights. Amenity Kit programs present major opportunities for airlines and manufacturers to display creativity and ingenuity when developing customized personal-care accessories. Promoting customer well-being throughout the duration of ever-longer flights is a highly competitive marketing challenge, and Amenity Kits have evolved from simply providing basic passenger-comfort items. Today’s luxurious giveaway bags, wallets, boxes, tins and pouches incorporate famous-name cosmetics and aspirational lifestyle-branding elements. Airlines that win TravelPlus Awards enjoy international accolades and ‘Star-Status’ ratings for offering their customers the very best-in-class design and quality of Amenity Kits.'
